In Dean Graziosi book, Millionaire Success Habits, he says the reason you are where you are is because of the stories you tell yourself about yourself. These stories can be empowering and uplifting or they can be self defeating and draining. Chances are, that if you feel like something is missing or you are not where you want to be, it is because you are telling yourself negative stories about yourself.
Many of these negative stories are subtle and you might not even realise it.
Dean also says that you are the sum of your inner circle. That means that if all the people in your inner circle are positive and stoked, you are going to be positive and stoked. But if your inner circle is barely scrapping by, it’s going to be hard for you to do anything else. It’s nothing new and I’ve heard it before but hearing the same thing over and over again does confirm that it is the truth.
Also there are two types of people: battery chargers and battery drainers. Make the effort to avoid the drainers and hang out with the chargers.
Dean says that we have the power to take a few people with us. Even if they are negative people, we can shine so brightly and be so positive that we can convert a couple negative people if we so choose.
Getting back to my story.
The negative stories I tell myself are:
I am tired/ exhausted, I never had any energy
Between making money, doing university and hanging out with my friends I just don’t have enough time to get my business right like the way I want it to be.
I also don’t have enough money to invest my time properly in building a business.
Most of the people in my life are boring, dump and unmotivated. I can’t get pretty girls because I am emotionally closed off.
I am bad at being honest and communicating emotionally with people.
I am chubby.
I am lazy.
I can’t do it because I havn’t done it yet
I am white trash.
I am crazy.
I am unmotivated.
Well shit, those sound pretty silly now that I see them written out like that.
